Why is a pre-approval letter important?
For one, you need to know how much of mortgage you qualify for, and second buyers will almost always ask for a letter from the bank saying you are qualified to buy the home. Sellers don’t want to waste their time, negotiating a deal only to find out the buyer can’t get a loan, so they ask for a pre-approval letter so they know you have the financing and are ready to purchase. Not having this letter could men not getting the deal on t hat perfect home you found.
